For Parents

Parents,

Sigma Pi Fraternity is a group of men dedicated to scholarship, service, and brotherhood. We look for men that are going to represent us in a way that distinguishes us from others on campus, and that act as scholars and gentlemen at all times.

It is no secret that fraternities often have a negative stereotype that scares parents and students away from Greek life. The men at Sigma Pi are aware of these negative stereotypes which more often than not are untrue and unfair. We have worked and will continue to work hard to reverse this viewpoint, by contributing to our university and community, and uphold our values as a fraternity man.

Going Greek is one of the best decisions that a young man can make when he goes off to college. Joining a fraternity gives a student who is away from home, a group of people to be involved with, a group that shares a common bond, the Fraternity. As the President of Sigma Pi at the University of Arkansas, I am proud to say that we do things the right way, and hazing is absolutely unacceptable.

We want to bring in young men to help them succeed in school and in life and to establish a friendship that lasts a lifetime. If there are any questions or concerns about your student joining Sigma Pi, feel free to contact me at any time.

Congratulations on your student choosing the University of Arkansas and, hopefully, to go GREEK!

Sincerely,

Derek Moore President
