Colony Events

Sigma Pi not only enages in academic and philanthropic endeavors, but also seeks to provide its members with a full and well-rounded social calendar.

In the 2008-2009 school year, this included hosting two registered parties, the first being the Sigma Pi 80's Party and the second being Mei Tai with Sigma Pi. The 80's Party featured brothers dressing up in their most over-the-top 80's attire, jamming out to some crazy 80's rock music, and getting out and dancing under a disco ball. Mei Tai was a beach-themed event that saw brothers and guest pulling out their beach and tropical attire that would have otherwise waited until Spring Break or Summer to be worn.

Sigma Pi also hosts annual brotherhood retreats for its members each fall and spring semester. In fall 2008, this included an overnight hiking and caving trip to Devil's Den State Park and was followed in the spring by a camping trip on the Buffalo River outside of Harrison, AR.

Each summer, brotherhood and rush events are combined into one as members get together to have a good time and invite potential members out to join them. These events include the annual Sigma Pi Float Trip and the Sigma Pi Lake Bash.

For the upcoming 2009-2010 school year, several events and parties are being planned and include Sigloo, Pilander (a Highlander-themed party), Singapore Sling, and Jamaican Me Crazy.
